MEP - Gamelan Music
:O It's a GAME? it's LAN? It's...

GAMELAN!

Basically, it originates from Indonesia. For questions asking you about the genre, it's 'Gamelan' and for region, 'Bali' or 'Java'. The rest is all there ^^ Listening to recordings is recommended.




Our MEP teacher told us more things today. Except I was kinda s p a c i n g o u t so, oops!

*OHOH. Right. For common characteristics of Gamelan music, you can also add 'Heterophonic' which is basically where the instruments play interlocking melodic motifs (elaborated, varied) and yeah. It also applies to Japanese, Chinese, and Indian music. I remember there was a 4th? but I'm not very sure which culture it was. x_x
